Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and Brooklyn Porta Johns ("we", "us"). They apply when you use this website, call the number shown on it or send the quote form. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or the phone line.

What the service is

Brooklyn Porta Johns is a referral service. We take your call or request and pass it to an independent company that rents portable toilets, restroom trailers or related equipment in your area. We are not a rental company. We don't own, deliver, service or remove equipment, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a rental company. We don't promise that a rental company will be available for your dates or location, or that you will receive a quote. Using the service is free to you.

The rental company's work is the rental company's responsibility

Prices, rental terms, delivery and pickup times, service visits, the condition of the equipment, cancellations, refunds and damage charges are all set by the rental company you deal with. We don't warrant, guarantee or endorse any company's equipment, work, licensing, insurance or conduct. Any claim about the rental itself is between you and that company.

Before you book, check the company's business details, ask for a certificate of insurance and get the quote in writing.

Your responsibilities

• Accurate information. Give a correct phone number, site ZIP code, dates and placement. Only submit a request for yourself or for an organization you are authorized to act for.
• Permits and permission. Getting any permit or approval the placement needs (for example from the city, a park, a landlord or a building) is your responsibility unless the rental company agrees in writing to handle it. The permits and placement guide is general information, not a substitute for checking with the agency.
• Safe placement and access. Make sure the spot you choose is lawful, level and reachable, and that the rental company can get to it for delivery, service visits and pickup.
• Lawful use. Don't use the site or phone line to send spam, false requests, malicious code or anything unlawful, and don't try to interfere with how the site works.

Rules and agency processes change, so check the linked source or the agency before relying on them. Nothing here is legal, engineering or safety advice for your particular site or event.

Limitation of liability

The site and the referral service are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the equipment, work, pricing or conduct of a rental company, or from your use of the site or its information, including indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or a delayed event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under New York law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page when you use the site is the one that applies.
