What happens to your number and your job details after you call or send the form, and how to take them back.

This policy covers the website brooklynportajohns.com and the phone number shown on it. Brooklyn Porta Johns ("we", "us") is a referral service that connects people who need porta potties, restroom trailers and related equipment with independent rental companies. How this site works explains that arrangement in full.
What we collect
When you call
The phone number you call from, the date, time and length of the call, and the details you give about your job, such as the ZIP code of the site, dates, headcount and placement. Calls may be recorded for quality and to confirm what was requested. You can ask at the start of any call whether it is being recorded.
When you send the quote form
Whatever you enter: name, phone number, email address, the ZIP code of the site, the service you need, dates or rental length, headcount, placement and your message. We also record the page the form was sent from.
When you browse
Like most websites, the servers that host this site receive your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keep them in logs. If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect the usage information described under cookies and analytics.
We do not ask for payment details, Social Security numbers or other sensitive identifiers, and you should not put them in the form.
How it is used
- To pass your request to a rental company that covers your ZIP, so it can contact you and quote.
- To call or text you about your request, if you have agreed to that on the form or asked for it on the phone.
- To keep a record of referrals made, including for billing between the operator and rental companies.
- To see which pages are useful and fix the ones that aren't, using analytics only if you accept them.
- To prevent spam and abuse of the form and phone line, and to meet legal obligations.
Who receives it
Rental companies. Your contact details and job details go to one or more independent rental companies that cover your area. That is the point of the service. Once a company has them, its own privacy practices apply, so ask the company about them if they matter to you. The operator may be paid by the rental company for the referral.
Service providers. Companies that run parts of this service for us receive the information they need to do it:
- call tracking and call routing
- form processing and delivery
- website hosting
- analytics (Google Analytics, only after you accept)
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect people from fraud or harm.
We don't publish your details, and we don't share them with anyone for purposes unrelated to your request.
Cookies and analytics
The first time you visit, a notice asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing that tracks your visit loads until you choose Accept.

Changing your choice. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to reopen the notice and pick again. Declining stops analytics from loading on later pages. Cookies already set stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them in your browser settings.
We don't use advertising or retargeting cookies.
How long it is kept
We keep call records and form requests only as long as we need them to handle the referral, settle billing with rental companies, and meet legal and tax obligations, then delete them.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold, and limit access to people and providers who need it. No website or phone system is completely secure, so don't send more than the request needs.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email help@brooklynportajohns.com from the address you used, or tell us the phone number you called from, so we can find the record and confirm the request is yours. We will also tell you which rental company received your request.
Deleting our copy doesn't delete the copy a rental company already received. Contact that company directly to ask it to delete its copy too. If you don't want further calls or texts about a request, say so on the call, reply to the text as instructed, or email us.
Children
This site is for adults arranging equipment rentals. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us details, email us and we'll delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how information is collected or shared, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes apply to information collected after the change.
